I love outback shearing sheds. I love the atmosphere when shearing is over and all is quiet, but I also love the sounds, smells and noises when the shearers are working. "Long Blow' is the process of shearing the wool off the sheep in one stroke from tail to head. The language used in shearing sheds is very iconically Australian. The slang terms have originated from the early days of settlement.
This is an original oil painting on canvas with an internal frame and finished with a protective varnish. The painting continues around the sides, so framing is unnecessary. It comes ready to hang.
It measures 76cm wide by 61cm high and 3cm deep.
