Michelle Keighley

Based on the Gold Coast Queensland, I have painted as long as I can remember and come from a long line of artists, my biggest inspiration was my grandfather who was a talented artist who thrived on the Australian landscape.

Following in his footsteps I paint in an impressionistic style and most of my paintings are done solely with a palette knife.
Texture is something I am passionate about and I want to take you on a journey with each piece and for you to feel connected to my work.
The Australian landscape is what I'm drawn to, especially the rural parts of NSW and QLD. In particular I love the soft tones of the dry grass and hay fields but I take inspiration from the diversity of this beautiful country. As an artist I enjoy creating paintings that make you feel something or take you somewhere.

For my art to grace your walls is something that I never take for granted, its a privilege.
